The June 2008 issue of JOLT will be a special issue,
centered on the topic of next generation
learning/course management systems (L/CMS). The
world of learning has rapidly changed since CMS 1.0,
and new technologies present diverse ideas and
opportunities for engaged e-learning. A reflection
of this change is demonstrated in the framework
for the special topic June issue which will include
JOLT's traditional, peer-reviewed topical
exploration as well as a new experiment in social
software. In conjunction with the L/CMS issue, JOLT
will invite readers to venture into distributed
knowledge with comment, critique and feedback on
each of the articles via a
Wiki site dedicated to creating new
knowledge related to the topics.
